About Me
Hi my name is Avery Burns, and welcome to my blog! First and foremost, I am married to the most wonderful man, Sam, and we have two beautiful fur babies, Bailey and Button. We live in a barn house on five acres in northern Indiana – and we absolutely love our little life here. It’s funny because I always thought I would live in a penthouse in the city (clearly delusional, I know), but it seems God had other plans for my life!
I am a very proud Saint Mary’s College grad. I will be forever grateful for my time spent in South Bend, IN, and for the numerous experiences I had there that have helped shape me into the person I am today. While at Saint Mary’s, I majored in political science, and minored in studio art, intercultural studies, and women’s studies. I absolutely love learning new things, and attending a liberal arts college that allowed me to dabble in many topics was such a wonderful gift. Though I took interest in many different subjects throughout college, I was always extremely intent on becoming one thing, and one thing only – an attorney!
I graduated from Notre Dame Law School in 2017, and now, I am a practicing attorney! While I love my job, I also need a creative outlet.
I am here to share my inspiration about life, decorating and maybe a few pics of my dogs and hubby as I wander through this twisting and turning life. I would love for you to join me on this journey! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love it Avery!

Are you familiar with any great beach rentals for a family of four?My boys are ages 18 and 22,my 22 yr old does men’s physique competitions. He has one in New Jersey on July 5th.I thought it would be fun to find a beach rental in the Hamptons to rent for a week since we will be in that area.Came across your blog and noticed you are familiar with that area.Any suggestions would be appreciated!:)

Hi, Christine!
What a fun trip you have planned! To be totally honest, due to the fact that my Nana has a home in East Hampton, I’m not terribly familiar with the rental process. The only thing I can suggest is to contact a real estate agency, and I know they often times work with people renting for the summer or a week here and there. I know that Town and Country Real Estate on Main Street in downtown East Hampton is a very reputable agency. You might want to check them out online, or give them a call and I’m sure they can help you!
Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. I hope you and your family have a wonderful time in the Hamptons – you will absolutely love it! Be sure to stop by the Golden Pear for the best coffee and baked goods around! ๐
